This 1988 BMW 325is was first registered in Massachusetts and was acquired by the seller in 2010 and subsequently relocated to Virginia. The car finished in Cinnabar Red over black leather and is powered by a 2.5-liter M20 inline-six. The factory automatic transmission has been replaced with a five-speed manual, and additional features include a limited-slip differential, a front air dam with integrated fog lights, a sunroof, power windows, cruise control, air conditioning, and 14″ basketweave wheels. Recent service has included changing the oil and replacing the oxygen sensors and rear shocks. This E30 coupe shows 98k miles and is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, two keys, service records, a tool kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Cinnabar Red and features polished window trim, rear vent windows, a rear spoiler, and a front air dam with integrated fog lights. 14” basketweave wheels wear a mixed set of 195/70 Bridgestone Insignia SE200 and Cooper Lifeliner Touring tires. Scuffs are visible on the wheels and equipment includes a sport suspension and four-wheel disc brakes. The rear shocks were replaced in March 2019.
The cabin features bolstered black leather seats along with matching door panels and gray carpets. Equipment includes a 13-button onboard computer, air conditioning, cruise control, a sunroof, a cassette stereo, and power windows and mirrors.
Instrumentation consists of a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, instant fuel economy, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 98k miles, approximately 9k of which were added by the seller.
The 2.5-liter M20 inline-six was factory rated at 168 horsepower and 164 lb-ft of torque. Service completed in September 2020 included changing the oil and replacing the oxygen sensors. The seller notes the air conditioning fan resistor was replaced and the air conditioning system was serviced in May 2021.
The factory automatic transmission was replaced with a five-speed manual circa 2016, and the car is equipped with a limited-slip differential.
