The car was finished from the factory in Sapphire Blue (96) and was repainted in 2021. The driver’s floorpan is also said to have been replaced at that time, along with the stainless steel bumpers and grille. Additional features include a replacement black soft top, chrome bullet-style mirrors, a front spoiler, Union Jack graphics on the rear quarter panels, and a luggage rack. Bumper overriders and a top boot are included in the sale.
Powder coated factory 15″ wheels wear aluminum trim rings and 205/70 Yokohama Avid Touring tires showing 2003 date codes. The suspension and steering system were reportedly overhauled during current ownership, and the brakes were refreshed with a replacement master cylinder and lines.
The bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl with perforated inserts, and replacement carpets, door panels, and trim were installed during current ownership. Amenities include a refinished wood dashboard with a locking glovebox, a wood shift knob, a heater, rubber Triumph-branded floor mats, and a Sony cassette radio.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. The five-digit odometer shows 95k miles, around 1,500 of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 2.5-liter inline-six was factory rated at 104 horsepower and is equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and PerTronix electronic ignition. The engine was repainted and the airbox powder coated during current ownership, and additional work is said to have included a resealed timing cover and replacement coolant and heater hoses, battery, and alternator.
Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission that was reportedly overhauled and fitted with a replacement clutch in 2007.
