This 1977 Toyota Celica liftback was acquired by the seller in 2013 and has since been modified with a 2.5-liter 1JZ inline-six fitted with a Precision 6262 turbocharger, an aftermarket intercooler, and ECUMaster engine management. Power is sent to the wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, and additional modifications include staggered-width 15″ Work Equip wheels, Techno Toy Tuning coilovers, four-wheel disc brakes, and a 4″ exhaust. The car has been repainted purple and fitted with JDM-style bumpers and taillights, HID headlights, front and rear spoilers, and wheel arch extensions, while the interior features cloth Recaro sport seats with harnesses, a roll bar, a Momo steering wheel, and a JVC multimedia stereo.
The exterior has been refinished in House of Kolor Purple (KBC10), and the seller states that the doors were replaced due to rust. Rust repair was also performed on the rear hatch around the taillights, and the hood was modified to aLommodate the Japanese-market vents. JDM-style bumpers have been added, along with body-colored wheel arch extensions, Japanese-market taillights, HID headlights, side markers sourced from a Nissan Laurel, and fender mirrors.
Staggered-width 15″ Work Equip 40 alloy wheels are finished in bronze and wrapped in 205/50 Nitto Neo Gen tires up front and 245/45 ATR-K Sport rubber out back. An AE86 Corolla front cross member with rack-and-pinion steering has been added, as have Techno Toy Tuning height-adjustable coilovers, camber plates, roll center adjusters, and control arms. The four-wheel disc brakes features front units sourced from an FD RX-7 along with a MkIII Supra brake master cylinder and stainless steel-braided lines.
Recaro sport seats are upholstered in black cloth with grey inserts and fitted with Willans four-point harnesses. A gold-finished roll cage has been added, along with replacement carpets, carbon-fiber rear interior panels, a JVC multimedia stereo, a Veilside shift knob, and a dash cap. The steering column and rear cargo area trim are missing along with the passenger door light.
A leather-wrapped three-spoke MOMO steering wheel frames an Android-based tablet instrument panel and an 11k-rpm TRD tachometer, while additional aftermarket gauges are mounted in the center console.
The 2.5-liter 1JZ-GTE inline-six was reportedly sourced from a MkIII Supra and fitted with a replacement timing belt, water pump, and front and rear main seals. Modifications are said to include the following components:
Precision 6262 turbocharger
Supra Store exhaust manifold
Wiring Specialties engine wiring harness
ECU Master EMU Black engine management unit
Fuel Injector Clinic 750L fuel injectors
Aftermarket front-mount intercooler, intake plenum, throttle body, and 45mm wastegate
Powder coated black custom intercooler piping
Custom radiator hoses, oil catch can, exhaust downpipe, and exhaust system
Aluminum radiator with electric fans
GReddy blow-off valve
AEM 340lph fuel pump
The five-speed R154 manual transmission was also sourced from a MkIII Supra, and a limited-slip rear differential from a Toyota Cressida was also installed.
