Features include H4 headlight assemblies, a driver-side mirror, bright window trim, Pegasus fender decals, and a quad-outlet exhaust system. Electrical work performed by Heckmann & Thieman Motors of Portland, Oregon, in January 2021 included rewiring the headlights and tail lamps.
Silver-finished 15″ steel wheels are mounted with 185/65 Pirelli P4 tires showing 2020 date codes. The brake hoses were replaced in May 2021, and a brake fluid flush was performed at that time. The suspension was also lowered in 2021.
The cabin is trimmed in black leatherette with basket-weave inserts on the front seats, matching door panels and carpeting, and black and yellow Coco Mats covering the footwells and center tunnel. Equipment includes a MOMO steering wheel, a Sony cassette head unit, fold-down rear seats, and roll-up windows.
VDO instrumentation includes a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,600-rpm redline, and a temperature gauge unique to the 912E. The six-digit odometer shows 157k miles.
The air-cooled 2.0L Type 4 flat-four is fitted with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection and drives the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. Service in 2021 included an oil change, a valve adjustment, and the installation of a new fan belt and front and rear hood shocks.
