The car is finished in two-tone blue and features an upright grille, quad headlights, and Continental lettering on the sculpted trunk lid. There is Signature Series lettering and a Lincoln badge with laurels on the C-pillars; 1982 was the only year the Signature Series was offered in the seventh generation of the Continental.
Cast-aluminum 15″ wire wheels are mounted with 205/75 Michelin whitewall tires.
The cabin is upholstered in blue leather with matching carpets and trim. Equipment includes an electric sunroof, an outside keypad to unlock the door and trunk, a computerized message center that includes an electronic gas gauge documenting miles to empty, cruise control, and automatic headlights as well as power seats, power windows, and power locks.
A blue leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a suite of digital instruments. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 17k miles. The original owner’s signature is inscribed on a plate on the passenger side of the dashboard, and the owner’s initials appear on plates on the driver and passenger front doors near the door handles.
The 302ci V8 was rated at 131 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque when new. The oil was changed most recently in summer 2020.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.
