Power comes from an AMC-sourced 360ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and it is finished in Safety White with black lower bodywork over Phoenix Brown upholstery. Styled by Herb Grasse, the SV-1 features acrylic resin body panels bonded to a fiberglass substrate, which are mounted on a steel perimeter frame equipped with an integrated roll-over structure. Notable features include gull-wing doors, pop-up headlights, and integrated front and rear impact bumpers.
15″ turbine-style wheels wear 225/60 BFGoodrich white-letter tires. The Bricklin utilized AMC Hornet-sourced suspension and brake components.
The interior features bucket seats trimmed in Phoenix Brown upholstery with button-tufted seat inserts, while woodgrain trim aLents the instrument fascia. Equipment includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a wooden shift knob, air conditioning, and a modern stereo equipped with a retractable faceplate.
VDO instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows just over 16k miles.
The AMC 360ci V8 was rated from the factory at 220 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a Torque Command three-speed automatic transmission.
