This 2006 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-H is one of 500 examples produced for the model year, all of which were first available exclusively as Hertz rentals. The car is finished in black with gold stripes, and it is powered by a 4.6-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a rear wing, 17″ alloy wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, power aLessories, and a Shaker sound system with an in-dash six-disc CD changer. The car has been registered in California since new, and it transitioned to private ownership in April 2008 when it was acquired by the current owner.
The GT-H was only offered as a coupe for the 2006 model year, and all 500 examples were finished in Black (UA) with gold stripes. Exterior features include hood pins, a rear spoiler, Hertz badging, and dual exhaust outlets.
Gray-finished 17″ alloy wheels are mounted with 235/55 Pirelli P Zero Nero tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel discs.
The cabin features seats upholstered in black leather along with matching door panels, carpets, and floor mats as well as a silver-aLented dashboard. Equipment includes air conditioning, cruise control, power aLessories, a lockable glovebox, and a Shaker 500 audio system with an in-dash six-disc CD changer. The outer driver’s seat bolster shows signs of wear, and a Hertz satellite radio module is mounted to the center console.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 145-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 22k miles.
The 4.6-liter SOHC V8 was modified by Shelby with a Ford Racing Power Pack cold-air intake and a re-tuned ECU. Output was rated at 325 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque when new, and the seller states that an oil change was performed in 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission.
