This 1947 Ford pickup is from a 302ci Ford V8 that drives the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The cab and running boards are finished in matte brown single-stage enamel, while the bed and rear fenders wear a combination of faded brown paint and bare metal with exposed weld seams and visible corrosion. Modifications include a chopped and stretched cab, a 1947 Ford coupe grille assembly, rear-hinged doors, and a shortened bed. Front and rear windows were installed by the seller. Oak planks and steel strips line the bed floor, which contains a custom fuel tank. The fabricated steel rear bumper houses four LED taillights, and LED headlamps are fitted in frenched housings.
Black-painted 16″ steel wheels wear 215/60 Solar 4XS tires on the front, and the mock-dually rear axle is fitted with four steel rims and 215/85 Cooper Discoverer H/T tires. The chassis features boxed front and rear frame rails, and the truck is equipped with tubular front control arms, adjustable front coilovers, power steering, a Wilwood dual master cylinder, and disc brakes all around.
The custom bench seat was fabricated from square tubing and woven sections of a fire hose. Additional interior modifications include brown patterned door panel and floor coverings, door pulls made from railroad spikes, a custom-fabricated copper center console fitted with a B&M ratchet shifter, and custom switchgear on the lower dash.
AutoMeter Antique Beige instruments include a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer flanked by gauges for battery voltage, water temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 98 miles.
The 302ci Ford V8 is said to be fitted with an aftermarket camshaft as well as a polished intake manifold, Ford Racing valve covers, and a Billet Specialties front aLessory drive system. An aluminum radiator and twin electric fans are mounted ahead of the engine, and exhaust exits through tubular headers and straight pipes feeding into twin vertical stacks behind the cab.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Ford C4 three-speed automatic transmission, a custom driveshaft from Denny’s Driveshaft, and a Currie rear axle with 3.83:1 gears.
