This 1983 Porsche 928S is finished in Platinum Metallic over brown leather, and its 4.7-liter V8 is paired with a replacement rear-mounted four-speed automatic transaxle. Features include factory 16″ phone-dial wheels, a sunroof, front and rear spoilers, a Blaupunkt stereo with a newer amplifier and a hidden Bluetooth module, air conditioning, and power-adjustable seats. The car was sold new at H.J. Pfaff Motors Limited of Ontario, Canada, and was acquired out of Oregon in 2014 by the seller, who relocated it to Southern California. Approximately 62k of its 268k indicated kilometers (~166k miles) have since been added, and service during current ownership included installation of a rebuilt replacement transaxle, recharging the air conditioning, and replacing the timing belt, water pump, tires, and brake pads.
The car was delivered new in Platinum Metallic (655/U1) and scratches and a dent were removed from the driver-side front corner of the car in 2015. Corrosion is noted below the windows on both doors, and the paintwork and exterior trim are shown up close in the photo gallery below. Features include a sunroof as well as front and rear spoilers.
Factory 16″ phone-dial wheels are mounted with 225/50 Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires that show 2019 date codes. The brake pads were replaced in 2020, and the tie rods and steering rack bushings were replaced in preparation for sale.
The brown interior has been fitted with eight-way adjustable front seats from a 1986 928, and the air conditioning was recharged in June 2020. A Blaupunkt SQR 23 stereo is mounted in the factory location and has been fitted with a modern mini-amp behind the dashboard, while a hidden Bluetooth module has been added in the driver-side footwell.
A four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Canadian-market instrumentation that includes a 270-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and combination gauges. The six-digit odometer shows just under 268k kilometers (~166k miles).
The 4.7-liter V8 is said to have received a timing belt and water pump service in September 2016. The radiator has been replaced, and a California emissions test was passed in November 2020. Seepage is noted on the engine oil pan.
