This 1989 325is was acquired by the seller in 2007 and is powered by a 3.2-liter S54B32 inline-six mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional modifications are said to include a carbon-fiber hood, a Mishimoto aluminum radiator, an oil pan and front subframe by ARC Asylum, UUC adjustable sway bars, Ground Control springs and shocks, reinforced trailing arms, a configurable exhaust system, 18″ five-lug wheels, E36 brakes, and a roll bar. The car is finished in red over black upholstery and spent time in California and Arizona prior to the seller’s acquisition.
The exterior is finished in red and features European-market headlights with aftermarket HID lamps, an aftermarket carbon-fiber hood, a sunroof, and a widened track with modified fenders and wheel-arch flares. Seller notes that body panels were replaced and paint work was performed under previous ownership.
Refinished 18×8.5″ M-Parallel wheels are mounted to five-lug hubs and wear 255/35 Firestone Firehawk tires. Stopping power is provided by E36 M3 front and E46 rear rotors and calipers. The suspension features Ground Control struts, springs, and shocks, with camber and caster adjustability at all four corners. The front subframe is from ARC Asylum, the trailing arms have been reinforced, and adjustable UUC Sway Barbarian anti-roll bars are fitted at the front and rear.
The cabin features black upholstery and carpeting throughout. Matching front seats with custom upholstery are included in the sale along with the Sparco racing bucket pictured. A roll bar has been installed in place of the rear seats and trim. Amenities include a Kenwood stereo head unit, aftermarket speakers, and a 10-inch subwoofer mounted in a Lukebox.
A leather-wrapped, three-spoke Personal steering wheel frames an aftermarket instrument cluster that includes a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 274k miles.
The 3.2-liter S54B32 inline-six was reportedly sourced from a 2002 E46 M3 and received new rod bearings and a valve adjustment prior to installation. Additional modifications include an ARC Asylum oil pan, a Mishimoto radiator, and a Mason Engineering strut-tower brace. Recent service included an engine oil and filter change.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF320 five-speed manual transmission and a 3.25:1 ratio limited-slip differential. An E36 M3 clutch and a lightweight chromoly flywheel are said to have been installed, and the configurable exhaust system allows for swapping between straight pipes, a resonator and race catalytic converter, and a factory-spec catalytic converter.
