This 1965 Ford Mustang is finished in red over black vinyl and powered by a 200ci straight-six mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Originally finished in Rangoon Red, the car was reportedly refinished in its current shade of red under previous ownership. Equipment includes bright bumpers and trim, a driver-side mirror, a mesh grille insert, integrated front indicator lights, and a replacement antenna. A clear cover has been mounted over the air intake vents below the windshield.
Steel 13″ front wheels with polished covers wear 175/70 Douglas tires, while black-finished 15″ American Racing wheels are mounted out back with older 205/65 Pirelli P2000 tires. The seller states that the two removed 13″ steel wheels and covers with Douglas tires are included in the sale.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench that were reupholstered in black vinyl under previous ownership, at which time the carpets and headliner are said to have been replaced. Amenities include polished trim, front and rear crank windows, a GT steering wheel, a heater, and an aftermarket Phase Linear CD stereo. The heating coil is said to have been replaced under previous ownership.
Instrumentation consists of a horizontal 120-mph speedometer flanked by gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 97k miles.
The 200ci straight-six features a blue-finished block, valve cover, and air cleaner cover. A tune up was reportedly performed in June 2020.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed C4 transmission.
