This 2013 Mini Cooper is one of 500 John Cooper Works GP examples built for the US market and was first delivered to Prestige Mini of Ramsey, New Jersey. The JCW GP edition featured Thunder Grey Metallic paint, factory aerodynamic bodywork, sport-tuned adjustable suspension, larger brakes, and unique interior trim with heated Recaro seats trimmed in black leather and Alcantara. Power comes from a turbocharged 1.6L inline-four linked with a six-speed manual transaxle. Modifications include window tint, paint protection film, and chrome hatch trim, while work since 2020 included an engine oil change.
JCW GP edition Minis came finished in Thunder Grey Metallic (B58) with a silver roof, red and black accents, and GP graphics and badging. Additional features include a hood scoop, a rear hatch spoiler, a rear diffuser, bi-xenon headlights, fog lights, brake cooling ducts, and twin exhaust outlets. The seller states that chrome hatch trim was added and ceramic coating was applied to the paint under previous ownership. Additional modifications include window tint and paint protection film on the forward facing surfaces, door edges, and door cups.
The 17″ four-spoke wheels feature bright-finished accents and are mounted with 215/40 Kumho V70A tires showing 2018 and 2020 date codes. The car features Bilstein adjustable coilovers and the ride height is lower than the base Mini. Braking is handled by red-finished six-piston front brake calipers over 13″ vented rotors and single-piston calipers over 11″ rotors out back.
The cabin features heated and manually adjustable Recaro seats that are trimmed in black leather with Alcantara center inserts and red stitching. Rear seats were omitted from the factory for weight savings, and additional features include GP dash badging, a rear chassis brace, an enclosed rear storage box, push-button start, automatic climate control, a AM/FM/CD stereo, red seatbelts, and black floor mats with red piping.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel features red stitching and frames a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. The dashboard wears high-gloss black trim and houses a centrally mounted 160-mph speedometer with an integrated fuel-level gauge. The digital odometer indicates just over 6,700 miles.
The turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-four features direct fuel injection and was factory rated at 211 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. A bright-finished strut tower brace spans the engine bay, and an oil change was performed in 2020.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle.
The window sticker above lists initial delivery to Prestige Mini of Ramsey, New Jersey, colors, equipment, and a total suggested retail price of $39,950. Manufacturer’s literature, service records, suspension adjustment wrenches, and two fob keys are also included in the sale.
