This 1947 Chevrolet Pickup is a modified example that was acquired by the current owner in 2020 following a custom build and refurbishment under previous ownership that included mounting the body on a modified mid-1960s Chevelle chassis. It is finished in gray and black over black vinyl and is powered by a 427ci GM ZZ427 V8 crate engine paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear end with a limited-slip differential. Other features include red-finished Wheel Vintiques wheels, an adjustable coil-over front suspension setup, front disc brakes, a wood-lined bed, a push-button ignition, power windows, and a RetroSound stereo.
The body is said to have been refinished in the current two-tone gray and black under previous ownership, at which point the frame was replaced with a 1960s Chevelle chassis. The vent windows were eliminated, and replacement glass was reportedly installed except for the driver-side corner window, which shows hazing at the edges. The fuel tank has been replaced with a fuel cell under the rear of the wood-lined bed and the fuel-filler hole on the right bedside remains. The seller notes the chrome grille has corrosion on the rear-facing side, and there is a scratch on the passenger-side rear fender.
Red-finished 15″ Wheel Vintiques wheels wear 215/60 Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires up front and 275/60 Cooper Cobra tires in the rear. The truck is equipped with QA1 adjustable coilovers up front, UMI tubular control arms front and rear, and UMI sway bars. Braking is handled by a Wilwood master cylinder and proportioning valve paired with drilled and slotted front discs and rear drums.
The interior is trimmed in black vinyl with red stitching and features a TMI Products bench seat with molded bolsters, color-matched paint, and black carpets. Sound deadening material was reportedly installed in the cab during the refurbishment, and equipment includes a RetroSound stereo, a push-button ignition switch, and power windows.
A black-rimmed billet steering wheel is mounted on a chrome Ididit tilt column and frames Omega Kustom instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer shows just over 700 miles covered since completion of the build, approximately 600 of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 427ci GM ZZ427 V8 crate engine was installed under previous ownership along with a Speedway Motors wiring harness, a three-core aluminum radiator with an electric fan, a main power cutoff switch, and an Optima RedTop battery. Additional equipment includes a Holley four-barrel carburetor with an electric choke, an aluminum intake manifold, and Hooker headers feeding an exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers exiting underneath the bed.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission that is reportedly equipped with a 2,500-rpm stall converter along with a Quick Performance limited-slip differential.
