This 1954 MG TF is finished in silver and black over black leather and is powered by an XPAG inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. A refurbishment carried out in the early 1990s included a repaint and a rebuild of the engine. The car was refinished in silver and black during the early 1990s. Features include a black soft top, driving lights, chrome bumpers, a badge bar, fender-mounted side mirrors, wind wings, a fold-down luggage rack, and a simulated radiator cap above the grille. Side curtains are included in the sale.
Chrome 15″ wire wheels feature two-eared knockoffs and are wrapped in 165-series Uniroyal tires. The spare is mounted to the fuel tank. Drum brakes are fitted at all four corners.
The interior features black leather seats along with matching carpets and door panels. Features include a heater, MG-branded floor mats, in-dash storage compartments, a passenger grab bar, and lap belts. An aftermarket heater is included in the sale.
The banjo-style steering wheel fronts center-mounted Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a tachometer, a 100-mph speedometer with an inset clock, and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 86k miles.
The XPAG inline-four was reportedly rebuilt in 1995 and bored to 1,500cc. The pistons, valves and guides, and front crankshaft seal are said to have been replaced, and the battery was replaced in 2019. A spin-on oil filter adapter is fitted, and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
Service records dating to 1974, manufacturer’s manuals, a tool kit, a car cover, and a tonneau cover are included in the sale.
