This 1996 Porsche 911 Carrera cabriolet was purchased by the seller in 1998 and has been registered in California since new. It is finished in Polar Silver Metallic over grey leather and powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six mated with a six-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a power-retractable black soft top, 17” Cup II wheels, headlight washers, a speed-activated rear spoiler, power-adjustable front seats, and a Porsche cassette stereo.
The car is finished in Polar Silver Metallic (L92M) and is equipped with a power-retractable black soft top with a matching boot cover. Additional exterior details include a speed-activated rear spoiler, fog lights, headlight washers, a wind deflector, dual exhaust outlets, and a “basket handle” rear spoiler with an integrated third brake light. The soft top control unit was replaced in 2020.
Cup II 17″ wheels wear Porsche-crest center caps and are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza tires. Braking is handled by black Porsche-branded four-piston calipers over cross-drilled rotors at each corner. The rear tires were replaced and a brake fluid flush was performed in March 2020.
The interior is trimmed in grey leather upholstery along with matching door panels and carpeting. Amenities include air conditioning, power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, a factory cassette stereo, and power windows. The cabin air filter is said to have been recently replaced.
A four-spoke steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation consisting of a central tachometer, a 180-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges that display oil level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 48k miles.
The air-cooled 3.6L flat-six was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle, and work performed in March 2020 consisted of an oil change and replacement of the spark plugs and air filter. Additional maintenance performed recently is reported to include replacement of the engine air duct, the battery, and three V-belts.
