This 1982 Porsche 911SC Targa is finished in Guards Red over a black interior and is powered by a 3.0-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a removable roof panel, 16″ Fuchs wheels, fog lights, air conditioning, and a Blaupunkt head unit. The car was delivered new to Giganti Porsche Audi in Indianapolis, Indiana and reportedly remained in the state with two owners before the seller‘s June 2021 acquisition. Service in preparation for the sale consisted of a valve adjustment, an oil change, and work on the air conditioning system.
The car is finished in Guards Red and features a removable Targa roof panel, fog lights, headlight washers, dual side mirrors, and US-spec lighting and bumperettes. The seller notes that driver-side quarter panel was refinished under previous ownership.
Black 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels have Porsche-crest center caps and anodized lips and wear Continental ExtremeContact DWS Tuned tires. Braking is handled by ventilated discs at all four corners.
The cockpit is trimmed in black leather with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Additional amenities include air conditioning, power windows, Porsche-branded floor mats, and a Blaupunkt head unit. The air conditioning system was serviced in July 2021. The dash is disfigured around the center vent.
A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation which includes a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as an 85-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and combination gauges. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows just 20k miles.
The air-cooled 3.0L flat-six is equipped with Bosch fuel injection and was factory-rated at 172 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was carried out in July 2021, and a valve adjustment was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle.
Owner’s manuals are included in the sale, along with three keys, a tool kit, and a selection of service records.
