Work performed during current ownership has consisted of replacing the valley pan and thermostat along with installation of new gaskets for the rear coolant flange, intake manifold, and throttle body.
The body is finished in Alpine White III (300) and exterior features include headlights and taillights as well as fog lamps and a glass sunroof. The headlights have been replaced per the seller. The Carfax report indicates that the car was involved in a rear-end collision with another vehicle in May 2004, and the seller notes that the front bumper cover was repainted during previous ownership. A scrape is visible on the lower right portion of the front bumper cover and a dent can be seen on the trunk lid. The removed factory lighting is included in the sale.
Multi-piece 17” Style 19 wheels wear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S XL tires that were mounted in February 2019 at approximately 94k miles according to the seller. An alignment was performed at the time of the tire installation, and the handbrake cable has been adjusted during current ownership.
The cabin features power-adjustable front seats and a rear bench upholstered in Sand Beige with matching carpets, and wood veneer accents the dash, center console and door panels. Additional amenities include cruise control, automatic climate control, an electric rear sun shade, an integrated car phone, and a factory cassette stereo. Cracks are visible in driver’s seat base and in the wood veneer on the cassette player cover.
A multifunction leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted to a power-adjustable column and frames a 155-mph speedometer and a tachometer along with gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, and instant economy. The odometer indicates 97k miles.
The 4.4-liter M62 V8 was factory-rated at 282 horsepower, which is sent to the rear wheels through a Getrag six-speed manual transmission. Work performed during current ownership included replacement of the intake manifold, throttle body, and rear coolant flange gaskets along with installation of a new valley pan and thermostat. The upper timing cover gasket may be due for replacement per the seller’s mechanic.
