This 1971 International Harvester Scout 800B Comanche is finished in white with an ochre removable hardtop over a black vinyl interior and is powered by a 232ci inline-six paired with a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck is said to have resided in California prior to the current owner’s acquisition in January 2020.
The body is finished in white and features a removable ochre hardtop as well as replacement Comanche graphics that are said to have been applied in 2012. The seller notes evidence of a prior repaint, and additional exterior equipment includes a tow ball, sliding rear windows, and chrome front and rear bumpers. Rust is visible on the front bumper and rear license plate bracket.
Polished 15″ steel wheels are mounted with Wild Country Radial TXR tires. A spare wheel and tire are mounted on the rear tailgate, and the front axle is equipped with Warn locking hubs. Stopping power is provided by drum brakes at all four corners.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl. Additional equipment includes air conditioning, a heater, a push-button AM radio, and an ochre-finished glovebox door and instrument panel.
The two-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket cover and fronts a 100-mph speedometer as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 9k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The 232ci inline-six features a red-finished block and valve cover and sends power to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
