The Azzurra was built for the US market by Pininfarina from late 1982 to 1985, when Fiat had pulled its 124 Spider out of the North American market. This example is finished in black and features a tan soft top, chrome impact bumpers, dual side mirrors, Pininfarina badging, and a twin-outlet exhaust.
Silver 14″ Panasport aluminum wheels are mounted with 195/65 Falken Ziex ZE912 tires. Braking is handled by discs at all four corners.
The cabin features high-back bucket seats trimmed in tan with matching door panels and black carpets. Woodgrain trim accents the dash and center console, and additional appointments include a digital clock, power windows, a locking glove compartment, and a Nakamichi AM/FM/CD stereo.
A three-spoke Personal steering wheel frames Veglia instrumentation that includes an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 133k miles.
The Lampredi 2.0L DOHC inline-four features Bosch fuel injection and was rebuilt by Allison’s Automotive of Upland, California in August 2020. An aluminum radiator was fitted at that time.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox.
Documentation accompanying the car includes manufacturer’s literature and service records dating back to 2003.
