The engine was overhauled in 2013, and services performed in 2016 included eplacement of the valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, and distributor cap.
The car was delivered from the factory in Irish Green (6606) and was refinished at an unknown point. Features include chrome bumpers and trim as well as a left-side mirror. Corrosion is noted throughout the body, including the right-front fender, left door, and inside the front trunk. Corrosion around the fuel tank was reportedly addressed and the floor pans were replaced during previous ownership, along with installation of a replacement windshield and door glass.
Fuchs-style 15″ wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position tires. Suspension and brake work was performed during previous ownership.
The cabin features low-back front bucket seats and rear seats trimmed in black vinyl with patterned inserts. Equipment includes metal dashboard trim, a Kenwood stereo, and rubber floor mats. Wear is visible throughout the interior, including separation of the front seat backs. The seller notes that the blower motor was replaced during previous ownership, and a dashboard cap is fitted.
The aftermarket steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 7k-rpm tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges displaying fuel level and oil temperature. 96k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer.
The replacement 1.6-liter flat-four underwent a refurbishment in 2013 that consisted of installation of a replacement crankshaft, pistons, cylinders, and bearings. Subsequent work in April 2016 included replacement of the valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, and distributor cap, and the seller performed an oil change during current ownership.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. The muffler was replaced in 2010 and the heater box was replaced in 2012.
The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity notes original colors, optional equipment, and a production date of August 1966.
