The 5.7-liter L83 V8 features Cross-Fire Injection and produced 205 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque when new. An August 2020 service at Holz Motors in Hales Corners, Wisconsin, included flushing the coolant, changing the oil, and replacing the serpentine belt.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Doug Nash “4+3” manual transmission with push-button overdrive as well as a limited-slip differential. The transmission fluid was flushed during the aforementioned August 2020 service.
