This 1999 Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG is one of 1,425 examples produced for the US market and is powered by a replacement 5.4-liter M113 V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. It is finished in Brilliant Silver over two-tone leather and features cruise control, automatic climate control, a factory Mercedes-Benz stereo, 18″ Brabus wheels, H&R lowering springs, xenon headlights with wipers, and heated and power-adjustable multi-contour seats. The car was first registered in California and remained in the state through its acquisition by the seller in December 2020. Service in April 2021 is said to have consisted of performing a transmission service and oil change, flushing the brake fluid, and replacing the rear crankshaft seal, power steering reservoir, and cabin air filter.
The car is finished in Brilliant Silver (744) and features AMG-specific bumper cladding and side skirts, a rear spoiler, power sunroof, xenon headlights with wipers, and fog lamps.
Silver 18” Brabus wheels are mounted with Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 tires that measure 225/40 up front and 255/35 out back. The suspension is said to be modified with H&R lowering springs, and braking power is provided by four wheel anti-lock disc brakes. The brake fluid was reportedly flushed in April 2021.
The cabin features black leather upholstery with gray inserts (588A) as well as burl wood accents on the dash, doors, center stack, and console. Amenities include AMG-branded floor mats, cruise control, heated and power-adjustable multi-contour front seats, automatic climate control, power accessories, and a factory Mercedes-Benz stereo.
The two-tone AMG steering wheel frames white instrument dials consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 113k miles.
The replacement 5.4-liter M113 V8 was reportedly installed by Quantum Mechanics of Huntington Beach, California, and features a Renntech carbon-fiber airbox. Service in April 2021 is said to have included performing an oil and filter change, and replacing the power steering reservoir, cabin air filter, oil filter housing seal, and rear crankshaft seal. The car was not issued a BAR sticker from the state of California after the engine was replaced.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. The seller notes the car is fitted with an aftermarket muffler, and the shifter assembly was replaced along with performing a transmission service.
