This 1977 Jeep CJ-7 is a modified example that was acquired by the current owner earlier this year. The replacement body has been painted in metallic beige and fitted to a Throttle Down Kustoms frame, and power is supplied by a 304ci V8 that has been fitted with an aluminum radiator, a Painless Performance wiring harness, and an Edelbrock air cleaner, intake manifold, and ribbed valve covers. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a Borg-Warner three-speed manual transmission, a dual-range Dana 20 transfer case, a Dana 30 front axle, and a AMC Model 20 rear axle with locking front and rear differentials. Further equipment includes a roll bar, a soft top and doors, power steering and brakes, Rockhard bumpers, aftermarket seats, and 15″ beadlock wheels.
The replacement steel body was painted in a Chevrolet shade of metallic beige and mounted to a replacement Throttle Down Kustoms frame. Rockhard bumpers feature an integrated bull bar up front and a swing-out rear tire carrier. Additional exterior features include a roll bar, a soft top and doors, headlamp guards, wheel arch flares, side-step bars, aftermarket rocker trim, and dual side mirrors.
Black-painted 15″ beadlock wheels are mounted with 36×12.50″ Super Swamper TSL tires. A matching spare is affixed out back, and the truck is equipped with lockable front hubs along with power steering and brakes.
The cabin features high-back front bucket seats trimmed in black leather along with a matching fold-down rear seat and aftermarket center console. Equipment includes a three-spoke steering wheel, an eight-ball shift knob, an analog clock, and a grab-handle for the front passenger.
Centrally-mounted instrumentation includes a 90-mph speedometer as well as aftermarket auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer has been reset to zero, and total mileage is unknown.
The replacement AMC 304ci V8 has been fitted with a Painless Performance wiring harness, an aluminum radiator, and an Edelbrock air cleaner, intake manifold, and ribbed valve covers. Fluid changes are said to have been recently performed.
Power is directed to the rear or all four wheels through a Borg-Warner T150 three-speed manual transmission, a dual-range Dana 20 transfer case, a Dana 30 front axle, and an AMC Model 20 rear axle. Locking differentials with 4.10:1 gearing have been fitted at either end.
