Service under current ownership included fitting a Mopar fuel-injection system, rebuilding the engine and transmission, replacing the radiator and master cylinder, and servicing the lubricants in the axles, transmission, and chassis.
Originally finished in Avocado Mist Metallic (534), the body was refinished under previous ownership. Equipment includes a Whitco removable black soft top, full soft doors, black-finished steel front and rear bumpers, a Warn M8274 winch, rock guards, and a rear tire carrier with dual jerry-can racks. The seller notes that the winch was inspected, oiled, and spooled with replacement wire-rope under current ownership.
Black-finished 15″ American Racing steel wheels are mounted with 33×10.5″ Dick Cepek Extreme Country tires showing 2018 date codes, and the front wheels feature Warn manual hub locks. The suspension was modified with a 2.5″ BDS lift kit, and a double cardan-type rear driveshaft is installed. The brake shoes were reportedly replaced along with the master cylinder under current ownership. The rear bumper features integrated LED reverse lights and taillights, the latter of which are said to be wired for flat-towing.
The cab features a body-color dash along with high-back front bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl. Additional equipment includes a six-point roll bar, a Cobra CB radio, a fire extinguisher, three-point seatbelts, rubber floor covering, and a toggle-switch panel controlling interior lighting and an ARB twin air compressor setup along with multiple switches open for future accessories.
The three-spoke steering wheel shows cracks and fronts instrumentation consisting of a 90-mph speedometer with inset gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level, a replacement voltage gauge, an oil-pressure gauge, and an aftermarket Sunpro tachometer. A Spectra turn signal stalk is mounted to the steering column, and a replacement Grant steering wheel is included in the sale. The five-digit odometer shows 83k miles.
The 258ci inline-six is a replacement unit that was installed under previous ownership and reportedly rebuilt under current ownership. The Mopar multi-point fuel injection system was installed under current ownership, and additional service is said to have included installing a replacement radiator and an electric cooling fan.
A replacement Ford T18 four-speed manual transmission features a 6:1 first gear ratio and powers the rear or all four wheels through a dual-range transfer case. Service in 2020 included replacing the clutch assembly, lubricating the chassis, repacking the wheel bearings, and changing the transfer case and transmission fluids. A frame cross-member is said to have been repaired in the fall of 2020, and rust is noted on some of the underside components as well as the engine firewall.
Spare components that will accompany the Jeep include removed parts, a Carter one-barrel carburetor, a second aluminum intake manifold with a two-barrel carburetor, a Grant aftermarket steering wheel, a water pump and a power steering pump with their corresponding pulleys, a rear driveshaft, a spare set of four steel rims, an additional spare wheel and tire, a fold-and-tumble rear seat, a Bestop bikini top, and other miscellaneous components.
