This 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa is finished in Guards Red over a black leather interior and is powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a removable black roof panel, 16” Fuchs wheels, fog lights, power height-adjustable front seats, and cruise control. The car remained in New York prior to being acquired by the seller in June 2021. Subsequent service included replacing the oil lines, oil pressure pressure switch, rear brake pads and sensors, and hood struts as well as performing an oil change and brake fluid flush, and converting the air conditioning system to R134a.
The car is finished in Guards Red and features a removable black roof panel, headlight washers, fog lights, and black rocker guards.
Fuchs 16” wheels feature Porsche crest center caps and are mounted with 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Bridgestone Potenza tires. Rear brake pads and sensors were fitted and the brake fluid flushed in preparation for the sale.
The cockpit features seats trimmed in black leather as well as a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include power height adjustability for the front bucket seats, cruise control, a Blaupunkt cassette stereo, and power windows and locks. The air conditioning system has been converted to use R134a refrigerant.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a central tachometer with a 6,250-rpm redline, a 170-mph speedometer, and gauges for oil pressure and temperature, fuel level, and an analog clock. The six-digit odometer shows 38k miles.
The air-cooled 3.2L flat-six was rated at 200 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque when new. The oil pressure switch was replaced in preparation for the sale along with the oil lines from the tank to the engine, the thermostat to the tank, and the engine to the thermostat. An oil change was performed at that time.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle.
