This 1962 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 is a two-door hardtop Holiday Coupe that is powered by a 394ci ‘Sky Rocket’ V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes an exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers, front bucket seats, a center console, and a Kenwood cassette radio. During prior ownership the exterior was repainted, the interior was refreshed, and lowered suspension was fitted, while work performed by the seller included replacement of the front suspension bushings and installation of 18″ U.S. Mags wheels.
The pillarless body was repainted prior to the seller’s purchase and is accented with chrome side spears and an Oldsmobile logo etched into the rear window.
U.S. Mags 18″ wheels feature a gray finish accented with polished lips and are fitted with Continental tires. The car rides on a lowered suspension, and the front bushings were replaced in March 2021 according to the seller.
The interior features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in white upholstery, and matching door and interior panel treatments are contrasted by black carpeting. A trio of auxiliary gauges are mounted under the dashboard, and a center console houses a tachometer and the three-speed shifter. A Kenwood cassette radio is linked to speakers mounted on the rear parcel shelf.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames instrumentation including a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer, a fuel-level gauge, and a five-digit odometer that shows 25k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 394ci ‘Sky Rocket’ V8 is equipped with a dual-snorkel intake and was factory rated at 330 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission, and an oil change was completed in March 2021.
