Equipment includes an electronically operated two-speed Columbia overdrive rear end, Navarro cylinder heads, whitewall tires, running boards, factory instrumentation, a Stewart-Warner ammeter, and a 12-volt electrical system. Under previous ownership the exterior was refinished, the brakes were serviced, the suspension was overhauled, the carburetor was rebuilt, the engine was tuned, and the exhaust system was replaced.
The car is said to have been refinished in Garnet Maroon at some point under previous ownership. Chrome-finished bumpers and trim adorn the vehicle.
Color-keyed 15″ steel wheels wear Ford Deluxe–stamped hubcaps, beauty rings, and 215/75 Coker Classic whitewall tires. In January 2019 the master cylinder, rear wheel cylinders, leaf springs, and front axle were replaced by Helger Bros. Speed Shop of Little Compton, Rhode Island.
The interior features tan wool broadcloth upholstery that covers the bench seat and door panels. A matching headliner, rear cargo shelf, trim panels, and carpeting are present throughout.
A two-spoke steering wheel frames instrumentation that includes a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and four auxiliary gauges. A Stewart-Warner ammeter is located under the dashboard near a Columbia Overdrive switch. The five-digit odometer shows 58k miles.
The 221ci flathead V8 is topped with a single-barrel carburetor, and work in January 2019 by Helger Bros. Speed Shop included rebuilding the carburetor and fuel pump, tuning the engine and setting the timing, changing the oil, and installing a replacement exhaust system with Smithy’s mufflers. The electrical system has been converted to 12 volts, and finned Navarro cylinder heads are fitted. The seller notes that the engine temperature runs high when sitting and idling, and replacement of the thermostat is recommended.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission, and the rear end is equipped with a two-speed Columbia overdrive unit.
