This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette is finished in Honduras Maroon over black vinyl and powered by a 355ci V8 that was built by John Lingenfelter Racing in 1985 and is mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a white convertible soft top, a body-colored removable hardtop, 15″ Cragar SS wheels, a Griffin aluminum radiator, lap belts, a heater and defroster, a Hurst T-handle shifter, and a Wonderbar AM radio.
The car is said to have been refinished in Honduras Maroon under previous ownership. Exterior features include exposed headlights, rocker panel brightwork, a trunk lid, a single mirror, and a white convertible top as well as a removable body-colored hardtop.
Chrome 15″ Cragar wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Comp T/A tires measuring 205/65 up front and 235/60 out back. Braking is handled by drums at all four wheels.
The cockpit features bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a dash-mounted rearview mirror, lap belts, a Hurst T-handle shifter, a fire extinguisher, a heater and defroster, a clock, and a push-button Wonderbar AM radio.
The wrapped three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and four secondary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 2,200 miles, approximately 40 of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown. The tachometer does not work, and the fuel gauge is not accurate.
The carbureted 355ci V8 is a Lingenfelter-built example that was installed under prior ownership in 1985. The build included four-bolt mains, a Comp Cams camshaft, roller rocker arms, TRW steel valves, and forged pistons, a roller timing chain, and a Hayes flywheel. A Griffin aluminum radiator has been fitted, and the oil was changed in preparation for sale.
Paperwork includes a dyno report from John Lingenfelter Racing of Decatur, Indiana that lists a peak output of 383 horsepower and 407 lb-ft of torque in 1985.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Corrosion is visible on underbody surfaces.
