This 1959 Chevrolet Apache 3200 Stepside was acquired as a farm truck and was subsequently refurbished from 2007 to 2009. The refurbishment included body and frame refinishing, brake and suspension component replacement, an engine and transmission rebuild, and replacement of the wood bed floor. The truck is finished in Tropical Turquoise over black vinyl upholstery and powered by a 283ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Features include quad headlamps, an 8-foot bed with an oak floor, a bed-side mounted spare tire, 16″ body-colored steel wheels, a painted grille and bumpers, dual side mirrors, an AM/FM radio and a dual-outlet exhaust.
This truck is said to have been refinished in Tropical Turquoise (749) during the 2007 refurbishment. Features include quad headlamps, an 8-foot bed with oak wood floor, a white-painted grille and bumpers, dual side mirrors, and a dual-outlet exhaust. The glass, mirrors, and bed are said to have been replaced during the refurbishment.
The 16″ body-colored steel wheels are fitted with Chevrolet-branded hubcaps and are wrapped in 225/75 Dunlop A/T Radial Rover tires. A full-size spare is mounted to the bedside. During the refurbishment, the steering box was rebuilt and the wheel cylinders, springs, master cylinder, brake components, and lines are said to have been replaced.
The cabin features a bench seat upholstered in black vinyl with a matching headliner, sun visors, carpets, and door trim panels. Equipment includes an AM/FM radio, a heater, kick-panel speakers, a floor-mounted shifter, lap belts, a locking glovebox, and vent windows.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer with inset gauges for temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 74k miles.
The 283ci V8 features a two-barrel carburetor, Chevrolet script valve covers, and is said to have been rebuilt during refurbishment. The seller notes that the fuel lines were replaced and the generator, starter, and radiator were rebuilt during refurbishment. An oil change was performed in preparation for sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted four-speed manual transmission.
