This 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was initially delivered to Maroone Chevrolet of Pembroke Pines, Florida, and has remained registered in that state through the seller’s acquisition in 2019. The car is finished in Electron Blue Metallic over black leather and is powered by a 5.7-liter LS6 V8 mated to a six-speed transaxle with a limited-slip differential. The C5 Z06 differed from standard C5 Corvette models with the addition of weight-saving glass, mesh grille inserts, reduced sound damping material, and a fixed roof for increased stability. This example is finished in Electron Blue Metallic (21U) and features pop-up headlamps, Z06 fender badges, and rear brake vents. The seller notes that the exterior lighting has been converted to LED bulbs, and aftermarket front turn signal lenses are fitted.
Aluminum 17″ and 18″ wheels are mounted with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires measuring 265/40 up front and 295/35 out back. Disc brakes with factory red-painted calipers are fitted at all four corners, and additional equipment includes active handling, traction control, and speed-sensitive power steering.
The cabin features seating surfaces trimmed in black leather along with a matching dashboard and carpets. Amenities include a power-adjustable driver seat with position memory, dual-zone automatic climate control, auto-dimming mirrors, a CD player with Bose audio, and a head-up display. A shifter and shift knob from a C6 Corvette has been fitted, and the removed stock shifter is included in the sale.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer and a Z06-branded tachometer with a 6,500 redline. The digital odometer shows 19k miles.
The 5.7-liter LS6 V8 was factory rated at 405 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque for the model year and is fitted with a K&N air filter. Maintenance under current ownership has included fluid changes as well as replacement of the oil pan gasket in September 2020.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. A replacement clutch master cylinder was fitted in October 2020.
Manufacturer’s literature, a build sheet, and two keys with remotes accompany the car. The included window sticker shows factory equipment, options, and a Total Vehicle Price of $50,695.
