All 40th Anniversary Editions were finished in GT Silver Metallic and equipped with GT3 side skirts, body-color front intakes from the 996 Turbo, and enlarged front cooling ducts. Additional features include a 40 Jahre badge on the rear decklid, a sunroof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, integrated fog lights, and polished exhaust outlets.

The heated and power-adjustable front comfort seats are upholstered in Natural Gray leather, and the cabin features a matching dash, carpeting, and door panels along with a GT Silver Metallic center console. Amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a factory stereo, the Bose High End Sound Package, Porsche-script floor mats, and power accessories.
A serialized plaque located on the center console identifies this as #1,383 in the 40th Anniversary edition.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames silver-ringed instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 7,200-rpm redline, a 200-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates just over 7k miles.
The 3.6-liter M96/03S flat-six is equipped with the X51 Power Kit, which added revised intake and exhaust manifolds, modified camshaft profiles and engine management software, and improved cooling for a factory-rated output of 345 horsepower. The IMS bearing was replaced in February 2021 with an LN Engineering kit, and additional recent service included oil and coolant changes along with a replacement rear main seal.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The clutch, pilot bearing, and oil/air separator were also replaced in 2021.
