This 1971 Ford Bronco was originally delivered to William Goodro Ford of Denver, Colorado and reportedly remained with the original owner before being acquired by the seller in 2017 and relocated to California. A refurbishment has since been carried out, and work included a rebuild of the 302ci V8, a resealed three-speed manual transmission, and repairs of the dual-range transfer case. The truck was repainted its factory shade of yellow with a white removable hardtop following the completion of bodywork, and additional work included refreshment of the brakes and suspension along with the installation of a replacement clutch, flywheel, windshield, and fuel tanks.
Finished from the factory in Chrome Yellow (G), the body was repainted during current ownership following the installation of replacement floor pans, rocker panels, and A-pillars. The hardtop was refinished at that time, the frame powder coated, and replacement gaskets and weatherstripping were fitted.
White-painted 15″ steel wheels are fitted with polished covers and mounted with 235/75 Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus tires. A matching spare is affixed to the swing-out rear carrier, and the truck is equipped with lockable front hubs. Service in 2021 included steering box and suspension adjustments as well as replacement brake lines.
The seats have been fitted with replacement foam and white vinyl covers, and the cabin features a matching dash and door panels. Interior equipment includes a roll bar, a radio, a heater, a lockable glovebox, lap belts, and rubber floor coverings.
A painted two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 53k miles.
The 302ci V8 was rebuilt in January 2021 by Chula Vista Auto Tech of Chula Vista, California and fitted with a replacement carburetor, thermostat, distributor, fuel lines, fuel tanks, wiring, and hoses. The radiator was resealed and the exhaust system was repaired at that time.
The column-shifted three-speed manual transmission was rebuilt by The Mustang Shop of San Diego in San Diego, California in 2018. A replacement clutch and flywheel were subsequently installed in 2021, at which time the dual-range transfer case was also repaired.
