The car left the factory finished in Tuxedo Black (A1) and reportedly was refinished in Marina Blue during a refurbishment that began in 2009, a process that included replacing the rear quarter panels as well as the trunk floor. Features include chrome bumpers and trim, wheel-arch moldings, Super Sport badging, dual side mirrors, and a replacement black convertible top. The top hydraulics and motors are said to have been rebuilt during the refurbishment, and a matching boot cover is included in the sale.
Slotted 15″ Rally wheels wear chrome beauty rings as well as Chevrolet hubcaps and are mounted with 225/70 front and 275/60 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires that were fitted in 2010. Braking is provided by vented discs with red-finished calipers all around; the front rotors are drilled and slotted. An alignment was performed in preparation for the sale.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench that were reupholstered in black vinyl, which is carried through to the door panels. Features include replacement carpeting, polished trim, front vent windows, a Vintage Air climate-control system, rubber floor mats, lap belts, a polished shift knob, and an aftermarket stereo with an auxiliary input.
A three-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, a left-mounted tachometer, and an analog clock in the console. The five-digit odometer shows 6k miles and was reset during the refurbishment; true mileage is unknown. Sunpro secondary gauges are positioned beneath the dashboard.
The replacement 396ci V8 is said to have been sourced from a 1966 Chevelle SS 396 and was fitted during the refurbishment by Bob’s Speed Products of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Features include a polished air-cleaner cover as well as 396-marked valve covers and replacement components. The carburetors were tuned and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. Underside features include dual exhaust and a chrome differential cover.
