It is finished in white over blue cloth upholstery, and equipment includes gullwing doors, RAYS wheels, an aftermarket boost gauge, a blow-off valve, and a US-spec Alpine stereo head unit.
The exterior is finished in white and features aftermarket rocker panels and an added rear wing. The gullwing doors can be seen raised and lowered in the provided images, and the windscreen has been polished. The AZ-1 weighs less than 1,600 pounds, thanks in part to Japan’s Kei class size restrictions.
RAYS Engineering 13″ wheels are mounted with Federal Super Steel 657 tires showing 2017 date codes. The brake pads were replaced, stainless steel brake lines were installed, and the braking system was bled under previous ownership. The suspension has reportedly been modified with larger sway bars.
The right-hand-drive interior features bucket seats finished in blue cloth. A Defi boost gauge has also been fitted along with a US-specification Alpine CD head unit which features Bluetooth connectivity.
A flat-bottomed Grant Corsa steering wheel has been added along with an aftermarket shift knob and a Napolex Lonza pedal set. Instrumentation includes a 140-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and an odometer showing 58k kilometers (~36k miles).
The turbocharged 657cc Suzuki F6A inline-three is mid-mounted and was rated at 63 horsepower and 63 lb-ft of torque when new. Service in November 2018 included head gasket, hose, and spark plug replacement along with the installation of an aftermarket blow-off valve, a new air conditioning belt, and rerouting of the vacuum lines. Service completed in January 2020 included the installation of an aftermarket exhaust system, an oil change, and replacement of the oil pan gasket.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
