This 2007 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is one of 500 equipped with the Z4Z Indy Pace Car package, which commemorated the 91st running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 27, 2007. The car is finished in Atomic Orange Metallic over black leather, and is powered by a 6.0-liter LS2 V8 paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. The Indy Pace Car package included Indy 500 graphics on the sides, a body-color Z06 rear spoiler, the Z51 performance package, the 3LT Preferred Equipment Group, and split-spoke aluminum wheels.
All 2007 Indy pace car replicas were finished in Atomic Orange Metallic with gold ribbon graphics on the hood and sides, Indy 500 decals on the doors, Indianapolis 500 emblems on the fenders, and a Z06 rear spoiler. Additional equipment includes a black convertible soft top, fog lights, fender vents, and quad exhaust outlets.
Silver-finished split-spoke 18″ and 19″ wheels are wrapped in 245/40 front 285/35 rear Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval tires showing 2010 date codes. The Z51 package added larger cross-drilled rotors and a stiffer suspension than the base C6 Corvette. Curb rash is noted on the right front wheel and both of the rear wheels.
The cabin features power-adjustable and heated seats upholstered in perforated ebony leather with matching door panels and carpets as well as body-color trim on the the center stack and instrument cluster. Indy 500 emblems are embroidered on the headrests. Equipment includes driver position memory settings, power windows and locks, cruise control, automatic climate control, a head-up display, navigation, and an AM/FM stereo with a six-disc CD changer and Bose premium audio.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 46k miles.
The 6.0-liter LS2 V8 was factory rated at 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. The wiring harness was replaced in February 2015 and the oil was changed in April 2021.
Power is sent to the wheels through a rear-mounted six-speed manual transaxle.
