This 1929 Chevrolet Series AC International Sedan was purchased by the seller 23 years ago, and it was subsequently refurbished. The exterior was refinished in two-tone burgundy with black fenders, wooden framing was replaced by woodworker Michael Flor, the interior was retrimmed with tan upholstery, and the 194ci straight-six was rebuilt. Equipment includes a three-speed manual transmission, halogen headlights, a tool kit, and chrome bumpers and trim.
Featuring a Fisher body over hardwood framework, the exterior of this example was refinished by R W Auto Body in North Hollywood, California, and features Buick-specification Berry Red with contrasting pinstripes as well as black-finished fenders and running boards. Additional features include a full front bumper, a windshield sun visor, halogen headlights, dual mirrors, and split rear bumpers.
Body-color 20″ wheels wear a set of older BFGoodrich Silvertown tires, and the car features a spare mounted aft of the trunk.
The front and rear bench seats are trimmed in replacement tan cloth upholstery sourced from Hampton Coach, which is complemented by matching treatments for the door panels and headliner. The front floor is lined with a rubber coating, a textured floor mat is fitted for the rear compartment.
The centralized instrument panel on the painted dashboard houses gauges monitoring temperature, amperage, fuel level, vehicle speed, and distance traveled. The five-digit odometer shows no miles; true mileage is unknown.
The 194ci straight-six is equipped with a single updraft carburetor, and it was rebuilt by Cascar Machine Shop in Sacramento, California during the refurbishment. Work included resurfacing the block, a .040″ overbore, a valve job, rebuilding the rocker assembly, and replacement of the following components:
Pistons and rings
Camshaft and crank gears
Valves, valve guides, and valve springs
Intake and exhaust seats
Oil pump
Gaskets
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-mounted three-speed manual transmission.
