The 1937 P3 Business coupe retailed for $510. This example is said to have been repainted in Aquamarine Blue under previous ownership and features polished stainless steel bumpers, a single taillight, a driver-side mirror, a single windshield wiper, a sailing ship hood ornament, a waterfall grille, and aftermarket turn signals fitted front and rear.
The 15″ body-color steel wheels feature polished Plymouth hubcaps and are mounted with Coker Classic bias-ply tires that were fitted in 2021. A matching spare wheel with an older tire is mounted beneath a panel in the cabin. “Airplane-style” shock absorbers were standard equipment for 1937 Plymouths, along with a revised steering gear and hydraulic drum brakes at all four corners.
The cabin features a split bench seat trimmed in tan cloth with a matching headliner, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a heater, courtesy lights, a dash-mounted windshield crank, and lap belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and a combination auxiliary gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 46k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 201ci flathead straight-six features an oil-bath air cleaner, a Carter carburetor, and a “Floating Power” engine mount system. A carburetor rebuild was performed in 2021 along with the addition of fresh fluids.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual transmission.
