This 1953 MG TD is finished in green over green leather upholstery and is powered by a 1,250cc inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car was acquired in 2015 by the seller’s father-in-law, and equipment includes chrome bumpers with overriders, a fold-down windshield, a tan soft top with side curtains, a banjo-style steering wheel, and Jaeger instrumentation.
The car is finished in green and equipped with outboard fenders, running boards, a tan soft top, removable side curtains, a fold-down windshield, a luggage rack, and chrome bumpers as well as bright trim on the grille, headlights, side mirrors, and door handles. Cracking is noted in the paint along with rust spots on the running boards, around the lights, and at the base of the windshield where it meets the hood.
Steel 15″ wheels wear bright MG hubcaps and are mounted with whitewall tires. A full-size spare is mounted to the rear of the car under a tan cover. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes and the the car features independent front suspension.
Green leather upholstery lines the seats along with matching door panels and black carpeting. The leather shows wear and the right-side exterior door handle is inoperable.
A banjo-style steering wheel fronts a green dashboard that houses Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 23k miles.
The 1,250cc XPAG inline-four features dual SU carburetors and was factory rated at 54 horsepower and 64 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
