This 1957 Fiat 1200 Granluce comes from the first year of production and spent time in Arizona before being acquired by the seller in 2014 and subsequently refurbished. Work included rebuilding the numbers-matching 1.2L inline-four, a repaint in blue with a white roof, and a reupholstered two-tone brown and cream interior. Work included rebuilding the numbers-matching 1.2L inline-four, a repaint in blue with a white roof, and a reupholstered two-tone brown and cream interior. Additional equipment includes a chrome grille and bumpers, a push-button radio, and 14″ steel wheels with chrome hubcaps.
Previously finished in white, the body was repainted in its current shade of blue with a white roof during current ownership. The underbody was also painted, and additional work performed at that time included re-chromed brightwork and the installation of a replacement windshield, grille, hood trim, tail light assemblies, and weatherstripping.
Gray-painted 14″ steel wheels feature chrome Fiat-branded hubcaps and are mounted with Coker Premium Sport tires with faux whitewall trim rings.
The foldable bench seats were recovered in brown and cream vinyl with white piping, and a replacement dash pad, door panels, and interior hardware were also fitted at that time. Features include a push-button radio, patterned floor mats, and lap belts for front occupants.
A three-spoke steering wheel with a replacement horn ring sits ahead of a horizontal-sweep 100-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer was recently repaired and shows just under 70k miles.
The 1.2-liter inline-four was overhauled by Engine Machine Service of Pottersville, Michigan in 2015. The crankshaft was re-ground, the block resurfaced, and the engine was fitted with refurbished connecting rods and replacement sleeves, pistons, seals, and hoses. The exhaust valves and guides were replaced in 2014, and a valve adjustment and an oil change were performed after break-in mileage.
Power is directed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
