This 1958 Austin-Healey 100-6 is a four-seat BN4 roadster that was acquired by the seller in 1984 and subsequently refurbished between 2001 and 2004. The car is finished in red over black vinyl and is powered by a 2.6-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. Equipment includes a black soft top, tonneau cover, luggage rack, chrome bumpers, and wire wheels. Service in preparation for sale consisted of replacing seals, freeze plugs, and the thermostat as well as the engine mounts and transmission mounts.
The body was removed from the frame, sheet metal was replaced, and the panels were painted in red between 2001 and 2004 by Arizona Street Rods of Phoenix, Arizona. Equipment includes black soft top, tonneau cover, luggage rack, and chrome bumpers with overriders. Taillight wiring was repaired in preparation for sale.
The 15″ wire wheels feature two-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with 165 width Michelin tires, and a matching spare is located in the trunk. Braking is handled by drums at all four corners. Service performed by British Automotive Repair of Scottsdale, Arizona, included replacement of rear wheel bearings, hub seals, and steering box seals.
The cabin features black bucket seats with red piping as well as a matching center console armrest, rear seats, carpets, and trim. The dash houses a rearview mirror, heater controls, a grab handle, and an overdrive switch. The floorboards were replaced during the refurbishment.
The banjo-style steering wheel frames a Smiths 120-mph speedometer and 6k-rpm tachometer. The five-digit odometer shows just under 10k miles.
The 2,639cc straight-six is equipped with twin SU carburetors. A May 2021 service included adjustments to the carburetor and timing as well as replacement of the following:
- Fuel tank sending unit
- Freeze plugs
- Various seals and gaskets
- Ignition points and spark plugs
- Engine mounts and transmission mounts
- Thermostat
- Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. An inspection in May 2021 noted wear and pitting on the reverse gear.
