The bodywork was repaired and the exterior was refinished in satin brown with cream aLents, Cadillac-sourced seats with cream leather upholstery were fitted, and a 5.7-liter Vortec V8 engine, a four-speed automatic transmission, and a Positraction rear end were all installed. Additional alterations include installation of independent front suspension, a four-wheel disc-brake conversion, power steering, updated wiring components, and 15″ wheels with ‘baby moon’ hubcaps as well as power windows, remote door openers, a modern air-conditioning system, and more as described below.
The body was refinished in satin brown with a cream cab roof during the refurbishment, and a replacement hood, bed steps, tailgate, grille, bumper, doors, cab roof and corners, and front and rear fenders were fitted at that time. The bed features red oak slats with body-colored cargo cargo runners.
Cream-painted 15″ steel wheels feature ‘baby moon’ hubcaps and are fitted with Hankook Optimo white-stripe tires, and a matching spare and tire combination is mounted in the bed. Disc brakes are fitted at all four corners, and the truck is also equipped with power-assisted steering and lowered suspension.

Replacement Dolphin Automotive gauges are mounted within a matching CNC fascia, and the digital odometer indicates that nearly 1,400 miles have been driven since completion of the build.
The 5.7-liter Vortec V8 engine was sourced from a 1995 Chevrolet Silverado and features a blow-through fuel-injection system, stainless-steel headers linked to a side-exiting exhaust system, a 12-circuit fuse box, and an aluminum radiator fitted with an electric cooling fan. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a rebuilt 700R4 four-speed automatic and a Positraction rear end.
A fuel tank was fitted aft the rear axle, the driveshaft was cut and welded to aLommodate the drivetrain, and a Mustang II independent front suspension equipped with 325 lb. springs was fitted up front.
