This 1960 MG MGA 1600 Roadster is finished in black over red leather and is powered by a 1.6-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car was acquired by the seller in 1995 and a subsequent refurbishment started in 2005 reportedly consisted of a repaint as well as an overhaul of the engine, the fuel and electrical systems, the brakes, and the interior. Equipment includes chrome bumpers with overriders, a black convertible top, a black tonneau cover, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, lap belts, and a JVC CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity.
The car was refinished in black in 2016 as part of the refurbishment commissioned by the current owner. Exterior features include chrome bumpers with overriders, a chrome grille and trim, and a single exhaust outlet. A black tonneau cover is included in the sale, along with a convertible top and side curtains.
Silver-finished 15″ knock-off wire wheels are wrapped in 165-series Michelin Classic XZX tires. Stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drums. The braking system is said to have been overhauled during the refurbishment, along with the replacement of the steering rack and the addition of a front sway bar.
The cockpit features red leather upholstery with matching door panels and carpets as well as a black-painted dashboard. Appointments include an aftermarket center console that contains an armrest and cupholder, lap belts, a cabin heater, MG-branded rubber floor mats, JVC door speakers, and an under-dash JVC CD stereo with USB and Bluetooth connectivity.
The Moto-Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer along with gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 345 miles. It is reported that less than 1,000 miles have accumulated since the refurbishment, and the seller notes that the odometer was repaired in 2019. Total mileage is unknown.
The 1,588cc B-series inline-four was reportedly rebuilt under current ownership and is equipped with dual SU carburetors, a PerTronix Flame Thrower ignition coil, and an alternator that has been fitted in place of the factory generator. The car has been converted to a negative earth electrical configuration, and items that have been added or replaced by the seller include:

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a rebuilt four-speed manual transmission, and the seller notes that the clutch master and slave cylinders were replaced at the time of the aforementioned engine work.
