This 1960 Skoda Felicia is a left-hand drive convertible that is finished in blue over white and powered by a 1,089L inline-four driving the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes independent front suspension, a floor shifter, and wide-whitewall tires. An oil change was performed and the spark plugs replaced in preparation for the sale.
The Felicia was introduced as a two-door convertible on a 94.5″ wheelbase in 1959, and this example features a chrome grille and bumpers as well as bright fender and rocker trim. The removable white hardtop pictured above is also included with the sale.
Body-colored steel wheels wear chrome “winged arrow” hubcaps and 165R15 Coker Classic wide-whitewall tires. A matching spare is housed in the trunk. Branded mudflaps protect the bodywork at the rear. The white convertible roof can be removed or stowed behind the seats.
The four-place cockpit is trimmed in white vinyl with red piping, while black and tan carpets line the floors. Amenities include blue-tinted plexiglass sun visors, map pockets, wind-up windows, a floor shifter, and a heater.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames three gauges including a 160-km/h speedometer with a five-digit odometer showing 17k kilometers (~11k miles). Actual mileage is unknown.
The water-cooled 1,089L inline-four features dual downdraft carburetors, and was rated at 53 horsepower for the 1960 model year. An oil change was carried out and the spark plugs replaced in preparation for the sale.
A four-speed manual transmission routes power to the rear wheels. The Felicia featured a backbone chassis with fully-independent suspension featuring coil springs up front and a transverse leaf in the rear. Unassisted braking is via drums at all four corners.
