The car was acquired by the seller in 2021, and a refurbishment commissioned in 1999 reportedly included repainting the exterior, refreshing the suspension and brakes, and rebuilding the engine.
The body was reportedly repainted in its factory shade of Yorktown Blue as part of the 1999 refurbishment. Exterior features include chrome bumpers, quadruple T-3 headlamps, a driver-side mirror, GTO badging, hood scoops, and a quad-exit exhaust.
The 15″ body-colored steel wheels wear dog dish hubcaps and redline tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by power drum brakes at all four corners. The brakes and suspension were reportedly rebuilt as part of the 1999 refurbishment.
The front bucket and rear bench seating are upholstered in blue vinyl and accompanied by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Additional equipment includes a Hurst shifter, locking glove box, rubber floor mats, and a push-button AM radio.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel features a Pontiac center emblem and fronts engine-turned instrument trim as well as a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer indicates under 6k miles traveled since the refurbishment. Total mileage is unknown.
The 389ci Tri-Power V8 was reportedly rebuilt as part of the refurbishment and was factory rated at 348 horsepower. Factory components used during the rebuild are said to have included the cylinder heads, carburetors, intake manifold, and camshaft.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission and a 3.23:1 ratio rear differential.
