This 1965 Chevrolet C10 is a Stepside pickup that is said to have spent time in Alabama before undergoing a mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment in 2018 and subsequently being acquired by the seller in February 2020. Finished in flat turquoise and white over a tan interior, the truck is powered by a 5.3-liter Vortec V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes staggered-diameter alloy wheels, lowering spindles, power-assisted steering, four-wheel disc brakes, exhaust headers, and a dual exhaust system as well as a wood-slat bed, a Vintage Air climate-control system, and a Kenwood stereo.
The truck was refinished in flat turquoise with a white top during the refurbishment in 2018, and equipment consists of a chrome-finished grille, bumpers, and door handles as well as a stepside bed and dual exhaust outlets.
Chrome-finished American Racing wheels measure 18” in front and 19” out back and are mounted with Sumitomo HTR A/S P02 tires. Stopping is provided by power-assisted disc brakes with cross-drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners, and the truck is equipped with lowering spindles.
The bed features stained and varnished wood slats with body-color runners, and the battery is mounted beneath a faux jerrycan.
The cab houses a bench seat that has been reupholstered in tan vinyl with cream suede inserts as well as a tan dashboard and door panels. Amenities include a Vintage Air climate control system and a Kenwood stereo with a glove compartment-mounted controller and aftermarket speakers.
A two-spoke steering wheel frames aftermarket Shark instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The replacement odometer shows 1,900 miles. True mileage is unknown.
The 5.3-liter Vortec V8 was installed during the refurbishment and features fuel injection, an aluminum radiator and cylinder heads, Doug’s headers, and electric cooling fans. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear end with a 3.73:1 gear.
