This 1965 Chevrolet Impala has been refurbished and modified since being acquired by the seller in 2016, including the installation of a fuel-injected 496ci stroker V8 equipped with aluminum cylinder heads, Comp roller rockers, a Lunati camshaft, and Hedman headers. The car has been repainted its factory shade of red and fitted with a fiberglass cowl hood, while the interior was reupholstered in black vinyl and features an aftermarket touchscreen stereo system. Additional equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission, a 12-bolt rear end, lowering springs, Bilstein shocks, Hotchkis front and rear sway bars, front disc brakes, power steering, and 18” American Racing Torq Thrust 2 wheels.
The car was repainted Regal Red during current ownership and has been fitted with a fiberglass cowl hood, a chrome driver-side mirror, and a replacement windshield and wiper arms. Exterior features include LED sequential taillights, Impala fender badges, and chrome bumpers.
Chrome-finished 18” American Racing Torq Thrust 2 wheels are mounted with Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires that measure 235/50 up front and 295/35 out back. Suspension modifications include Hotchkis front and rear sway bars, lower rear control arms, and an adjustable rear panhard rod, along with Bilstein shocks, Global West 2” drop springs, adjustable front radius arms, and upper rear control arms. A Classic Performance Products brake master cylinder and front disc brake conversion kit have been installed, and the rear drum brakes are said to have been refreshed.
The interior features front bucket seats and a rear bench that have been reupholstered in black vinyl along with matching door panels and a replacement headliner and carpeting. Dynamat sound deadening has been added to the cabin. A Pioneer touchscreen with Bluetooth and satellite radio capabilities is mounted beneath the dash and linked with Alpine amplifiers housed in the trunk along with Sony speakers.
A wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel fronts a column-mounted AutoMeter 8k-rpm tachometer along with a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and a combination gauge housed in the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 36k miles.
The V8 was reportedly stroked to 496ci V8 and fitted with a Lunati camshaft, aluminum cylinder heads with Comp roller rockers, H-beam connecting rods, and a double roller timing chain. Additional equipment is said to include the following components:
The Muncie four-speed manual transmission was reportedly rebuilt and fitted with a reverse lockout along with a replacement clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel. Power is sent to the wheels through a GM 12-bolt rear end.
