This 1965 Ford Mustang coupe was refurbished and modified by its previous owner, with work including exterior and interior color changes as well as updates to the engine, brakes, and suspension systems. Its 289ci V8 is paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and modifications include an aluminum radiator, tubular headers with a dual exhaust system, staggered-diameter US Mags wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, coilover suspension components, shaved door handles, an integrated rear lip spoiler, and more as described below.
This car was delivered new in Vintage Burgundy (X), and it was repainted Pepperdust Metallic with matte black vinyl accents during the refurbishment. Features include color-matched roofline trim, an aftermarket grille, a fiberglass hood with scoop, an integrated rear spoiler, and shaved door handles with electronic actuators.
Staggered-diameter wheels sourced from US Mags measure 17″ up front and 18″ out back and are fitted with Yokohama tires. Cross-drilled and slotted disc brakes are fitted at all four corners, as are Ridetech suspension components.
Replacement black upholstery with pleated inserts covers the front bucket seats and the rear bench. Additional modifications include a woodgrain steering wheel, aftermarket pedals, and a vintage-look stereo linked to speakers mounted in the front footwells.
Dolphin gauges are recessed within a polished cluster and feature a six-digit odometer indicating that approximately 900 miles have been driven since completion of the build. True mileage is unknown.
The C-code 289ci V8 is equipped with an aftermarket carburetor fitted atop an Edelbrock intake manifold. Further additions include an aluminum radiator sourced from Champion Cooling, a chrome upper brace, Ford Racing-branded valve covers, and tubular exhaust headers. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
Service records from prior ownership are included in the sale along with keys, historical photos, and the removed door tag.
