This 1965 Sunbeam Tiger is finished in red over black leather and powered by a replacement 302ci Ford V8 and five-speed manual transmission. A refurbishment between 2015 and 2018 included disassembling the car, repairing rust, refinishing the body and interior, and installing the aforementioned engine and transmission. Features include a removable hardtop, a black convertible top, a fiberglass hood, and a burl wood dashboard.
The previous owner commissioned a refurbishment performed from 2015 to 2018. The car was disassembled, and the body was placed on a rotisserie and stripped before rust repairs were completed. An LAT 79-style hood was then fitted, and the body was refinished in Carnival Red. The removed hood was refinished at the same time and is included with the car. Additional equipment includes a black convertible soft top, a color-matched hardtop, and chrome moldings and bumpers.
Black 13″ steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and trim rings and are wrapped with 185/70 Kumho Solus tires showing 2016 date codes. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features low-back bucket seats upholstered in black leather with red inserts. Black carpeting lines the floors, and the door panels are trimmed in black vinyl. Additional equipment includes a burl wood dashboard, lap belts, a lockable center console, and a heater.
The two-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Jaeger instrumentation including a 5,500-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and an array of auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 11k miles.
The 302ci Ford Windsor V8 was installed in place of the removed 260ci V8 during the refurbishment under previous ownership. The engine features finned Tiger valve covers, an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake manifold, a Holley four-barrel carburetor with an electric choke, and a stainless-steel exhaust system. An oil change was performed in September 2020.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Tremec T-5 World Class five-speed manual transmission.
