This 1965 Triumph TR4A was manufactured on March 30, 1965, and was reportedly refurbished by its original owner in the late 1990s. Finished in red with a black soft top over a black interior, the car is powered by a replacement 2,187cc inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes PerTronix electronic ignition, LED lighting, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, front disc brakes, a luggage rack, and a stainless steel dual exhaust system. The car was acquired by the seller in 2016, and work under current ownership has included overhauls of the engine and transmission, along with a replacement soft top, wiring harness, windshield, and starter.
Finished from the factory in Triumph Racing Green (25), the car was repainted its current shade of red by the original owner in the late 1990s. A replacement black soft top and windshield were installed during current ownership, and additional equipment includes Litezupp LED exterior lighting, a stainless steel luggage rack, bumpers with overriders, and bullet-style side mirrors.
Wire-spoke 15″ wheels with two-ear knockoffs wear 165 series Vredestein tires. The car is fitted with removable wheel spacers, and braking is handled by front discs with Toyota-sourced dual-piston calipers, rear drums, and stainless steel braided brake hoses. A high-ratio steering rack has also been installed per the seller.
The bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl with white piping, and the interior features a woodgrain dashboard, carpeted rear parcel shelf, Triumph-logo black rubber floor mats, lap belts, a heater, 12-volt accessory adapter, and a locking glovebox.
A banjo-style steering wheel sits ahead of a wood-veneer dashboard. Jaeger instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer was reset to zero by the seller and now shows 33k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement inline-four engine block was reportedly sourced from an earlier TR4A and installed during prior ownership. The engine was later rebuilt by the seller with an 87mm pistons and liner kit resulting in 2,187cc displacement. Additional components are said to include the following:

Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a four-speed TR4 manual gearbox overhauled with TR6 steel bushing internals and an A-Type overdrive said to provide a 28% gear reduction. An overdrive logic controller with an indicator light has been installed, which locks out overdrive between gear changes per the seller.
