This 1967 Ford Mustang convertible is finished in blue over a matching interior and is powered by a 289ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-operated white convertible top, a Holley carburetor, an aftermarket exhaust, and an aftermarket AM/FM/cassette stereo. The car was first delivered to the Buffalo, New York, sales district and was acquired by the seller in 2018. Body work and a repaint were reportedly completed in the early 1990s, and maintenance in 2021 is said to have included replacement of the oil pan and suspension bushings.
The car left the factory finished in Acapulco Blue (D) and was subsequently refinished in the early 1990s. Body work prior to the repaint reportedly included replacing the floor pans, left quarter panel, lower right quarter panel, the inner rocker panels, toe boards, outer wheelhouses, and trunk drops. Equipment includes a power-operated white convertible top, a white tonneau cover, a blue convertible top boot, a driver’s side mirror, and chrome bumpers and rocker trim.
The 14″ wheels were reportedly sourced from a Ford Torino and feature turbine-style covers and 205/70 Roadhandler SCR tires. KYB shocks have been installed, and the brake master cylinder and wheel cylinders are said to have been replaced under previous ownership, along with the lines, hoses, and parking brake cables. A full-size spare wheel and tire is stored in the trunk. The suspension bushings were reportedly replaced in April 2021.
The cabin features seating trimmed in blue vinyl along with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes front and rear lap belts and an aftermarket AM/FM/cassette stereo connected to two external speakers. Service during previous ownership reportedly included replacing the driver’s seat back and foam, the driver’s door window mechanism, and the parking brake handle.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows 21k miles, approximately 1k of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 289ci V8 is equipped with a Holley two-barrel carburetor and a Borg Warner ignition coil, capacitor, cap, rotor, and spark plug wires. The cam sprocket and timing chain were reportedly replaced during previous ownership, and the oil pan and pan gasket were reportedly replaced in April 2021. A chrome export brace is also fitted.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. A Warner Exhaust Sonic Turbo muffler was reportedly mounted under previous ownership.
Multiple copies of the build sheet are included in the sale.
